Hi. Please enroll your children for after school care by Tuesday. Currently there is not enough children enrolled and unpaid accounts from last term. This makes it not viable to re open. I will make the call on Tuesday. It has been a tough few years for everyone. I have kept my price as low as possible but obviously people still think it should be a free service. For a small business that is a real struggle. It would be a very sad to see Hikurangi lose this service.

Hi, just an update for next term. Last term was hard on all of us. Chloe and I had to both isolate and I apologize for the last 2 days of term. As yet neither Chloe or myself have had covid so there could be more isolation time yet to come. Due to covid last term numbers were right down and we only just made it through the term financially. As you can understand having 3 children on one night does not cover costs. I didn't take a wage so we could retain Chloe. I hope numbers pick up this term and things return to normal. I do love doing this and the kids but not sure realistically how long I can keep doing this for love. I look forward to seeing all the kids back next term.

Traffic lights system.
Hi all. After a meeting today we ask that you do not enter the building to collect your children. We will send them out to you. This will just save us a load of stress with checking your vaccination status and scanning in etc. Hopefully next year is different. Only a few days of term left. Everyone is hot and tired. CHANGES AHEAD FOR HANDY HELPERS NEXT YEAR. Watch this space. I am loving having Chloe on board. She is good at boundary setting with the kids and hopefully her work experience she gains with us will help her in her studies.
