On Matariki day the 14th Intake named after 2nd Lt Rueben Taurau Paniora marched out after completing their selection course.

Congratulations to the new cadets received their tohu (badge) to officially become part of the Leadership Academy of A Company and to those that got promoted.

A big acknowledgment goes to the Academy staff, whānau and whānau of 2nd Lt Rueben Taurau Paniora.

On Saturday 25th April, the Leadership Academy of A Company attended the ANZAC Dusk service at Ngararatunua marae.

It is the first time that a Dusk service has been held in the Whangarei District and a first for the marae.

Now that many sites and marae are having Dawn and Day services, we took the opportunity to hold the Dusk Service

Our Academy boys were outstanding holding guard and catafalque at the Ngararatunua flagpole.

As was our head girl Natalie Maihi-Hansen, who laid our wreath for us in what is a first for the Academy.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them.
Nor the years condemn them.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning.
We will remember them.
We will remember them.
