So much is happening every day at Paikea Kindergarten. Yesterday tamariki engaged in play with ocean creatures. Other tamariki found snails and took them on a ride in the trucks and other tamariki continued their interest in hunting. Kaiako work to extend tamariki interest through the power of play.
Play supports creativity, problem solving skills and so much more. Play is powerful!

Have you every wondered what your local kindergarten is like inside the grounds and the building?
Has it always been too tricky to go in during the week because of work pressure and the business of getting kids ready for school etc?
Well on the 18th April (saturday) to celebrate Kindergarten Day, all kindergartens that are part of Gisborne Kindergarten Association are opening from 10am to 1pm so you and your whanau can pop on in and have a look around.
We have Kindergartens in Tutira, Wairoa, Gisborne , Whangara, Makauri and Ormond.
All are welcome.
