Te rā te pāpā – We celebrated Fathers, Grandfathers, special whānau and Mums who step in for Fathers today at our breakfast kai.

What a wonderful turn out we had!!. Nga mihi to everyone who joined us for fabulous kai. Who can say no to waffles and cream plus Amanda’s cheese scones. Our bellies were full and we got to acknowledge and celebrate spending time at kindergarten together with shared kai. Thank you Dads for the being the special person in your child's life ❤️

He aha te mea nui o te so? Māku e kī atu, he tangata, he tangata.

Today we celebrated Yellow Day in support of the Cancer Society. Our tamariki dressed up in yellow and enjoyed some very Yellow - Kowhai activities. They also had a picnic lunch and an ice block.
Thank you to all the Harriette Vine Whanau that supported Yellow Day and the Cancer Society. Here are some beautiful pics from today.

Exploring imaginary dinosaur bones was on the agendathis week 😊 Our student Molly set up the activity and using brushes we uncovered some fabulous bones.

This created lots of korero about dinosaurs and here's what tamariki had to say...

"Dinosaur are old and then they died" "You get dinosaur bones from the ground" "You get lots of bones and then fix them together then take them to the museum" "Yep, yep dinosaurs live at the museum now"

Kia ora whānau,
Please take a moment to read the information below. Your support is needed 💜
Only two days left to fill in this survey. This survey suggests: reduced pay parity requirements, reduced qualified teacher requirements, reduced funding for 100 per cent qualified teachers, reduced accountability for public money, reduced universal funding. Have your say while you can!

🔈 🙋‍♀️Have your say! Oppose funding cuts for Kindergartens by 6 August, 5pm.

A government appointed funding review suggests less money for kindergartens and more taxpayer money going to private profit-oriented services.

This would mean Kindergartens will be forced to charge more, and some children will miss out completely on early childhood education.

🗓️ Have your say by making a submission before 6 August, when the consultation closes.

Your submissions can simply be describing what effect the rising cost of Kindergartens would have on you and your whānau. Link to submit in the comments below!
