Today we visited the amazing team at Funhouse Learning Centre. They have been collecting for their annual Christmas drive and decided that plunket would be one of a couple of recipients for 2020.
Whanau of funhouse and staff alike have been collecting all sorts of beautiful things to donate, such as nappies, washing powder, formula, wipes, clothing, blankets and much more.
Plunket will be using these donations for both our clients and those with other agencies also who have come into difficult times, are needing a helping hand, or simply a couple of bags of nappies enables Whanau to free up a bit of extra money to spend on other necessities.
Christmas is close approaching, stress levels increase, things can get hard for many families we come into contact with. We are so grateful when we see the generosity and kind heart of our community. Stories of children who donated all their shopkins and barbies to help kids who don’t have any, to make a difference in others lives.

When our local community organisations help us with donations and collections like this, it makes a huge difference in the lives of many who are struggling in our city.

When we individually make the choice to help just one, the ripple effect stretches far and wide. When we have the opportunity to help many, it has the power to change communities.

We are extremely proud and excited to announce that we have achieved the top Pa Harakeke Healthy Heart Award from the Heart
Foundation. What this means is that we have met the most robust criteria for promoting healthy food and physical activity at Funhouse. We love that we are now equipped to capably be teaching children how to keep their bodies healthy, to enjoy healthy food and find joy and purpose in physical activity.
