Here at St Johns Hill Kindergarten we provide resources and tools for our children to be able to learn in this way.

Celebrating Cook Island Language Week

Today we had a visit from the Whanganui Fire Service. The tamariki learnt about Fire Safety and what to do in case of a fire at Kindergarten or at home. We then got to sq**rt the hose, and the sirens were put on as they were leaving. What a fantastic opportunity for our children and what a great learning experience.

Our Bag Tag fundraiser finishes on Friday.Please can we have all orders in by lunchtime Friday. Thanks to everyone who ordered. This has been a great fundraiser.

Washing shells, sorting by size, colour and shape. Counting and comparing the different shells was so much fun. Tamariki talked about how they can show Kaitiakitanga by looking after the beaches around us.

We celebrated Matariki at Kindergarten with a wonderful breakfast with whanau/family on Wednesday. Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated this day with us.

Matching, sorting, sequencing with the animals shows developing problem-solving skills and a positive attitude towards maths mahi.

Tamariki have enjoyed some sessions at Kindergarten with Melissa from Central Football in the Tiny Tots programme. Learning movement skills, balance, building confidence and having lots of fun with the activities.
