A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our café and our learners. Every vshare, like, coffee, morning tea and friendly faces has meant so much.

Moira, our Employability Skills Coach, spotted a post from City Mission Whanganui asking for urgent food donations to help fill their shelves. She took the initiative, rallied the team, and together they were able to put together two good-sized boxes of kai to donate.

A big thank you to Moira for seeing a need and doing something about it ❤️ and a huge thank you to the City Mission team for the incredible work they do supporting people in our community, especially when times are tough.

We’re open Monday 24th – Wednesday 26th August, from 9am–2pm, and then we close until our next cohort of hospitality students are ready at the end of the year!

Raquel was one of our learners here at Training For You, and last year she secured a volunteer role at Hato Hone Opportunity St John Whanganui Store .

Since then, she’s been volunteering in their op shop, gaining valuable retail experience and continuing to learn through completing retail units with Hato Hone St John. 🙌

We are so proud to see Raquel putting her skills into practice, growing in confidence and continuing to learn.
