Congratulations to Alexander Moore (Year 12) for his work "Hearty Skid" being accepted as a Finalist in the Secondary School Art Awards.
Now in its 14th consecutive year and open to Year 11, 12, and 13 art students nationwide, the National Secondary School Art Awards celebrate the imagination, skill, and creativity of Aotearoa New Zealand’s young artists.
Alexander is on of 75 Finalists chosen from nearly 800 entries, from over 100 schools.
Winners being announced Thursday the 10th September.

Council have an exciting paid opportunity for two youths aged 16-24 to contribute their experience and skills in the arts.

They’re looking for youth who are passionate about the arts, organised, and interested in working as part of a team.

The National Youth Art Awards 2026 had a record number of entries this year of 517.
