🦋🇳🇿 National Wildlife Day! 🐧
Today our tamariki celebrated by learning about New Zealand wildlife. They coloured pictures of native animals and enjoyed a story about the beautiful hoiho (yellow-eyed penguin).

🌼 Daffodil Day at Wonderkids
Today our tamariki and teachers wore yellow to support Daffodil Day. 💛 We learnt about Daffodil Day during our mat time.

🐾❤️ Happy National Dog Day! ❤️🐾

Today we celebrated National Dog Day by colouring pictures of dogs and talking about our own furry friends. 🐶Our tamariki enjoyed sharing stories about their dogs and telling us what makes them so special. It was lovely to hear all the happy memories and see their creativity shine! 🐾

A day full of happy smiles and quiet tears as we say a big Happy Birthday and also Happy Graduation Day to out amazing little Hailey. It's has been and honour and a joy to see you smiling face everyday and be able to be your teachers we wish you all the best for your next hourney and will miss you soon much. Also a big thankyou to Haileys whānau for the delicious treats they bought in for us to share.

🦧 Swinging into World Orangutan Day! 🌳
​Today is World Orangutan Day—a wonderful opportunity to spark tamariki's curiosity about these incredible, endangered tree-dwellers and foster a love for global wildlife!
​Hands-on craft and play are fantastic ways to bring the rainforest into your learning space and today we made paper monkeys to hang up on the string encouraging fine-motor skills.
We listened to facts about them and even did the actions they do like banging on their chest and learned they can do sign language. Everyday is a fun new day at Wonder Kids Whanganui

Tongan Language Week
Our tamariki enjoyed learning about the Tongan flag. They learned what the red, white and red cross represent, coloured the flag, counted from 1 to 5 in Tongan, and added glitter to their paper hand artwork. ✨

This week at Wonderkids, our little adventurers dove into an exciting wildlife journey as we celebrated World Lion, World Elephant, and World Lizard Day! Through interactive sensory play, creative arts and crafts, and engaging storytelling, the children explored the fascinating worlds of these diverse creatures. They practiced roaring like powerful lions, stomping like majestic elephants, and scuttling like clever lizards. These hands-on learning experiences not only sparked their imagination but also helped nurture an early love for nature and a deep respect for global wildlife conservation.
