A special shout-out to the amazing group of Year 9, 12 and 13 students who helped out at our Open Day and Evening!

From leading tours and running workshops to helping throughout the day and making our visitors feel welcome, our students did an awesome job showcasing our school and our WHS values. We’re incredibly proud of the way they stepped up and helped make the day such a success. 👏

A special mention also goes to our Hospitality students, who were busy behind the scenes preparing and cooking a range of canapés for our visitors to enjoy during the Open Evening. 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

⚫️ 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 🟡
🤩 It was wonderful to welcome Year 8 students from contributing schools for our Open Day yesterday. Students were able to tour around, join a workshop and get a glimpse of what WHS has to offer ✨.

Our Open Evening was also very well attended 👏 and we thank everyone who came along. A special shout out to our student helpers and leaders who contributed to making the evening such a success. We’ve received great feedback from the community about the warm, welcoming feel of our kura and how approachable our staff and students are. 🙌

📚 Reminder: Senior students are on study leave from 15-23 September.

Students are only required to be at school to sit their Derived Grade Exams or attend scheduled tutorial sessions.

Please remember that all students must be in full school uniform when attending school.

📚 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝘀

Senior Derived Grade Exams will be held from 16-23 September.

⚫️ Senior students will be on exam leave from 15-23 September and are expected to study at home during this time. Students only need to be at school for their scheduled exams or tutorials.

🟡 Full school uniform must be worn when attending school for exams or tutorials.

Our Year 12 Novelty Leaders organised Wednesday’s 🖍️ 3 Marker Challenge 🎨, and it was awesome to see such a great turnout! 👏

Heaps of students got involved, showing that sometimes the simplest, most creative ideas can be a big hit. 🙌 Thanks to our Novelty Leaders for bringing something a little different to lunchtime this week! 👏

We’re proud to offer a range of leadership opportunities at WHS, and this is a great chance for Year 10 students to step up, get involved and build their leadership skills. Our Year 10 Leaders will organise and run fun lunchtime House events and activities for the junior school during Term 4. 🙌
