Nature based outdoor activities on Fridays have been shown to improve sleep quality, support motor and cognitive development in children, and boost immune systems. Natural environments rich in sensory stimuli encourage exploration, imagination, and self-directed play. Our young explorers participated in rock climbing, sand play, bug hunting, bird and butterfly watching, and creative boat-making using sticks and leaves to sail down the stream today.

We had a beautiful morning out at Stonham Park, with the tamariki playing in the autmn leaves, drawing and writing their names in the sand, climbing on the big rocks and having a picnic morning tea together. A great way to finish our week 🥰
