Come the end of Term 1 – and in lieu of any last-minute reprieve – the doors to the Whakatāne In2Learning centre in Pyne Street will close for the final time, instead offering a much-reduced operation at a smaller site.

The business has been on sale for two years (and remains so for any interested party).

“Over the years I have worked with many teachers passionate about student learning. Operating this centre four days a week would be a wonderful way of their continuing this passion…” hints Director, Diane Black.

Next term the business will have capacity for only a third of its current students, with Term 2 spaces already assigned – and a growing waiting list.

“I want to thank everyone who has supported In2Learning and this tutoring service over the years."

I have decided that it is time for me to downsize and relocate the Centre, with our current Pyne St site closing at the end of this Term.

Currently, there are no spaces available for Term 2 sessions but you are welcome to register your child on the waiting list. You are also welcome to call and discuss an assessment.

With worsening weather incoming from Cyclone Gabrielle, and in line with all of our area schools, the Whakatane In2Learning Centre will not be open tomorrow, Tuesday February 14.

We will be in touch with all impacted students in the coming days to arrange suitable catch-up sessions or alternative learning options.

Please take care everyone!

With concerns about Cyclone Gabrielle moving in faster than expected, and the potential impact for us here in the EBOP, we wanted to let you know that we are closely monitoring the situation. If our local schools decide to close then we will be doing the same.
Take care everyone!
