Ian Davison is an authorised Waka Kotahi (LTNZ) motorcycle instructor and BHT examiner.

Ian has been teaching and examining motorcyclists since the late 1990’s. Ian started road riding in the 1980’s on a BSA Bantam. With decades of riding knowledge Ian is more than happy to pass his knowledge on focusing what makes riding safe and enjoyable. Eastern Bay Motorcycle Training focuses on the learner rider by conducting the Basic Handling Skills Courses and the Basic Handling Test (BHT).

How do I get my licence? To get your learner licence you need to pass two stages:

1) Undertake a practical test (BHT)-
2) Undertake a theory test. Once you have passed the practical test you will be given a certificate to take down to your nearest VTNZ/AA center to sit your theory test. For online mock theory tests see online at www.drivingtests.co.nz
