Today, Buller High School wishes a very Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, dads, caregivers, grandfathers, stepdads, uncles, mentors and father figures within our BHS staff, whānau and wider Buller community.

Thank you for the many different ways you support, encourage and stand alongside our rangatahi. Whether it is driving to early-morning trainings, cheering from the sidelines, helping with homework, offering advice, celebrating successes or simply being there when it matters, your presence makes a difference.

We also recognise that Father’s Day can hold different emotions and memories for different people, and we acknowledge those who may be remembering someone special today. πŸ’™

Message from the BHS/Reefton Girls Basketball Team - our 2026 SISS BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS πŸ’™πŸ–€

As we leave Dunedin the team just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of you for your kind messages and the support that the BHS socials created for us! One of the big things we talked about before the game was how it isn’t normal to have this much support from a community, and even though we are 8 hours away, it certainly didn’t feel like we were away from home. Thanks again team. Alongside winning they got the tournament sportsmanship and teamwork award with a $200 fuel voucher- a testament to all of the values we install In these girls at school. It really was a dream group to take away. Thanks so much again! See you when we get back! πŸ€πŸ†

Our BHS/Reefton Senior Girls Basketball team are SISS CHAMPIONS! πŸ₯‡

After an absolute nail-biter of a final 63 - 62, the girls came away with a fantastic win to cap off an outstanding Tournament Week. We could not be prouder of the determination, teamwork and heart this group has shown throughout the tournament.

From being recognised with a Teamwork and Sportsmanship Award to finishing the week as CHAMPIONS, you have represented Buller High School, Reefton Area School and the West Coast brilliantly. πŸ’™

A massive congratulations to every player, and a heartfelt thank you to the coaches, manager, parents, whānau and supporters who have backed these girls and helped make this achievement possible.

A huge congratulations to our BHS Senior A Netball Team, who have finished 16th out of 23 teams at the SISS Netball Tournament!

The girls finished their tournament with two incredibly hard-fought games, with just one point separating the teams, a reflection of how competitive they were right to the very end.

🌟 This is the best result for a Buller High School netball team at SISS since 2018! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of the way the team competed, supported one another and represented BHS throughout Tournament Week. What a fantastic achievement, ladies! πŸ‘πŸ’™
