🧸 your little one plays, learns and has fun at WELC
🚪 and we're connected by our own gate!

Children aged 0–5 years can attend Westport Early Learning Centre while you enjoy your time at the gym.

🎉 first 2 hours FREE!

minimum booking: 1 hour
$5.50 per hour after your free 2 hours
enrolment at WELC is required

for eligible children aged 0–5, 20 Hours ECE may also apply.

Today we would like to acknowledge and thank our wonderful Board Chair Kelsey as she steps down after 10 years of dedicated service to Westport Early Learning Centre, including the past 4 years as Board Chair

Throughout her time on the Board, Kelsey has generously given her time, leadership, and support, helping to guide our centre with care and commitment. Her dedication to Westport Early Learning Centre and her passion for ensuring the best outcomes for our children, whānau, and teaching team have been greatly appreciated.

On behalf of everyone at Westport Early Learning Centre, thank you for your years of service, your thoughtful leadership, and your unwavering dedication to our centre. Your contribution has helped shape our centre and will leave a lasting legacy.

We wish you all the very best for the future and sincerely thank you for everything you have done for our Westport Early Learning Centre community.

We are also pleased to welcome Jim McIlraith as he steps up as our new Board Chair. We look forward to working alongside Jim as he steps into this new role and continues to support the ongoing success of our centre.

Let's talk about the OGs of Westport Early Learning Centre – Marilyn Smith and Lorraine Ranger!

Marilyn has been part of our centre family for an incredible 37 years (on and off), while Lorraine has dedicated 25 years to supporting our tamariki. These two friendly and familiar faces have welcomed and cared for generations of children over the years.

Both Marilyn and Lorraine love their roles as Teacher Aides. Whether they're helping children learn new skills, offering a comforting hand, sharing a story, or celebrating milestones, the joy they get from supporting tamariki shines through every day.

We are incredibly grateful for the experience, kindness, and dedication they bring to our centre.

Thank you, Marilyn and Lorraine, for the difference you make in the lives of so many children and whānau. ❤️
