👋 It's been a while between posts.
I stumbled across this picture yesterday and it got me thinking about the pottery dream I had here over 3 years ago now!
Quite a bit has happened since our first course, it was a bit of a rocky start with all of our work getting destroyed in the kiln, followed by number 3 child (that you can see quite close to the wheel in this pic 😅) and chuck a flood in there with a newborn and you have yourself a recipe for loss of momentum!
After all of this I put the dream on hold, I dontated the gear we had to a lovely group of more experienced potters and they've been making great use of it all. I've always kept this page knowing I'd be back eventually and that time is now! Over the last few months I've been dabbling in a bit of pottery, organised some workshops and now in the process of starting a community studio with the help of the greatest employers at EPIC Kawatiri Westport who let me run wild with my crazy ideas 🥳 We are very lucky in Westport to have many more willing tutors at the ready and I'm excited to be able to offer some classes and fun with you all soon!
