Our Manaakitanga World Cup concluded today with the final between Redwood House students and College staff. Redwood House students had come through the group stage with wins over our other College houses.
As expected, the staff were too strong for the students, winning 7-3 in an entertaining match.
Thanks to the Manaakitanga Committee for organising this great event and to all who participated.

This morning, a group of our Year 12 and 13 students had the privilege of visiting New Zealand Parliament and meeting Luxon, who was very gracious with his time and spoke to the students for an hour. Thank you to Wendy McGuiness for her generosity in inviting us to experience an unforgettable trip.

Our Year 13 students, TJ Duggan, Michael Cash, and Owen Ranga were at the Victoria University of Wellington Law Buildings, presenting in the first round of the Strengthening Democracy Project “Select Committees”.
St Patrick’s College won this competition last year, and this group, along with two more, are hoping to make it through to the next round after delivering some strong presentations about the future of NZ’s electoral system.
