🌬️ Save this Tāwhirimātea tuff tray idea for later!

Using scarves, feathers, ribbons, cotton wool and loose parts, invite tamariki to explore the world of Tāwhirimātea through sensory play.

As they create storms, swirling winds, clouds and weather patterns, conversations naturally emerge about more atua!

Simple resources.
Rich storytelling.
Meaningful connections to te ao Maori.

Extend the learning with our Ngā Atua Cards.

What would your tamariki add to this invitation to play?

“Ko au te whenua, te whenua ko au.” 🌿

I am the land, and the land is me.

A beautiful reminder of our deep, inseparable connection to te taiao, that we are not separate from nature, but a part of it. When we nurture the land, we nurture ourselves.

With World Environment Day tomorrow, it’s the perfect time to reflect on how we care for Papatūānuku and Tānemahuta, today, tomorrow and every day 🌏✨
