Te reo Māori belongs in every learning environment. 💙

We’re proud to source some of the best rauemi Aotearoa has to offer, resources created to help kaiako bring te reo Māori and te ao Māori into everyday learning in ways that feel engaging, practical and achievable.

Because it doesn’t have to be about knowing everything or getting everything perfect. It’s about having the right tools to take those small, everyday steps building confidence in our kaiako and creating more opportunities for tamariki to hear, see and use te reo Māori.

From pukapuka and magnetic stories to games, visuals and hands-on learning resources, we’re always searching for beautiful, meaningful rauemi to support your learning environment.

There’s something pretty special about a story being passed from a grandmother to her grandson, and then finding its way into the hands of tamariki. 🇹🇴

New Zealand-Tongan author and illustrator Lisala Halapua grew up listening to stories told by his Tongan grandmother. Those stories later became the inspiration for his Island Fables picture book series, including The Mouse and the Ant, The Mouse and the Octopus and The Worm and the Whale.

This Tongan Language Week, we’re celebrating the people, stories and traditions that keep language and culture present for the next generation.

A beautiful series to explore this week, and to keep on the bookshelf all year round.
