Houghton Valley Playcentre

We are LOVING our wonderfully rebuilt play fort. The kids enjoy the new upstairs playspace and the tunnel. The adults love the great sightlines, to keep an eye on tamariki, and the adventurous but safe play it can inspire. Huge thanks to The Lion Foundation and Playcentre Aotearoa for the financial support to make this possible, to Minter Webber Building for ace construction and to Child Space for the original designs. And to all the Playcentre members who put in the mahi to get this done. Come for a vist and check it out Mon/Weds/Thurs/Fri mornings during term time.

We have space for new tamariki to join our Monday and Wednesday morning sessions of play-based, mix-age play and learning. Like all Playcentres we are a child-led, parent-run centre. These two sessions are currently small (8-12 tamariki), so would be perfect for those who value a smaller group setting when they are getting to know a new place. You are welcome to drop in without notice or plan a visit ahead by contacting [email protected]
