It was the International Food Fair today at lunchtime, and WOW, everyone got involved and ate everything! Lots of cultures were represented, and staff and students alike got to sample all the delicious food! Thanks to those staff and whānau who helped to make it happen. WISA - Wellington International Students Association
Yesterday, our international students got to hang out with other international students in Wellington and attend a special association event, welcoming them to our city.
They experienced a Kapa Haka welcome, shared kai with Mayor of Wellington, Tory Whanau, and other students. They also got to watch cultural performances by the Wellington Girls College Asian Group among others.
We love seeing our students get out and about with other students. It provides them with a support network and introduces them to a little bit more of our wonderful city! Ka pai!

Monday morning we welcomed our new International Students to our Kura. The year 9’s did such incredible mahi with the mihi whakatau, and after, we all enjoyed some kai and got to know one another over a warm cuppa Milo. . . Would you like to host an international student in your home?

The Onslow College International Programme is looking for whānau willing to host international students – short term and long term, arriving in January 2025. This is a great opportunity for you and your whānau to learn about different cultures and to offer our international students the opportunity to learn about Aotearoa, our cultures, and to improve their English Language skills.

We need whānau who:

- Live in and around Wellington with close access to transport routes

- Are able to provide a warm home with room(s) with a bed, desk and storage

- A caring and supportive home environment where our students will thrive

We offer competitive rates, $360 per week, paid fortnightly.
