Retail Assistant – Part-Time/Full-Time

We are looking for a bright, friendly and mature person to join our team at our busy fruit & vegetable shop.

The position can be up to 40 hours per week, with at least one weekend day required.

What we’re looking for:

* Bright, friendly and approachable personality
* Mature and reliable
* Good customer service skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
* Flexible and willing to help wherever needed
* Retail experience is preferred but not essential

This is a hands-on role in a busy retail environment, so a positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in are important.

Here is our third volunteer this week—although I'm not sure Steve Meyrick really needs an introduction!
Steve has been with the brigade for 35 years and is currently our Deputy Chief Fire Officer, having also served as Chief Fire Officer.
Away from the station, Steve is the third generation of his family to run Pinehaven Orchards Ltd in Greytown.
Known for his good humour, practical knowledge, and decades of experience, Steve is someone many of us have learned from over the years.

As we settle into winter, our shop hours are now:
🕣 Monday to Sunday�🕔 8:30am – 5:00pm
We’re still stocked with fresh fruit, apple juice, vegetables and plenty of winter favourites.
