To our parents, children and all our staff over the years, thanks for 31 years of great memories. Happy New Year to you all, and all the best for the future.

Time to say goodbye now, from Gaynor & Mike.

Hi everyone. As some of the followers here will know, unfortunately we’ve made the difficult decision to close down at the end of the year. This includes both our Before School and After School care programmes. We will be open until the end of term 4, so a month or so to go.

We first opened in 1993, so to last just over 30 years is a huge testament to all the staff, parents and children we’ve had over the years.

The decision was a tough one to make, but we can’t continue as the numbers just aren’t there for us anymore. With increased costs coming in 2025, we have to close now.

Thank you to everyone for your support over the past 30 years, it’s been wonderful to watch your children grow up and get to know the Island Bay community.

There’s still a good month or so to go which we are very much looking forward to, plus the Christmas party which is always a hit!

Hi everyone, just a quick reminder of the upcoming price increase as mentioned in the notice last week. Prices are effective from 24th June 2024. Again, we are sorry to have to do this.

After School Care = $21 Regular/$23 Casual

Here’s a few final pictures for the year. We finished the year off with a couple of festive activities, creating some Christmas decorations and face painting among other activities. The end of the year was filled with happiness and good times. See everyone again in 2024, Happy Holidays.

Another year, another Christmas Party. The team at Island Bay After School Care hopes everyone had fun today, it sure looked that way earlier this afternoon. We started off activities with a note & sack that Santa had dropped off, which contained a present for everyone. We then ate some food, played a handful of party games, and we ended the afternoon off with a Piñata. There was lots of sharing, laughing and having fun, it felt like Christmas with everyone in good spirits 🎄🤶🎅

Hi everyone. Here’s a few small snaps of what we’ve been up to over the past month or so. Baking, quiz day, pizza making, occasional Fish&Chip days, recycling, arts & crafts and of course Lego (Small amount pictured). Really cool to see the creations some of the kids come up with, and everyone of course loves anything food related.

We look forward to the final month of the year, and of course the big event closer to the end of the term... 🎄🎅🤶
