At the start of August, we had a visit from the wonderful Nick, from the Wellington Free Ambulance Community Education Team.
Nick chatted with us, shared a story, and quizzed us before taking us out to check out his very cool and well-fitted-out ambulance. It was so big that the whole class could fit inside, and we even got the opportunity to take turns sitting in the driver’s seat!

Once we had finished our tour of the inside, we were also able to check out and carry some of the medic bags and stretcher beds. To finish off our visit, Nick switched on the sirens, which was another big hit with everyone!

A huge thank you to Nick and the Wellington Free Ambulance team for taking the time to visit us, share your knowledge, and give the children such a fun and memorable experience. We are so grateful for everything you do to support and care for our community!

This week at CountryLife Early Education tamariki had a very special visitor! The amazing and lovely Jel from Hato Hone St John, came into talk to us about what to do in an emergency. Our tamariki got really into this, enjoying the time, stories and games Jel was able to share with us.

Birthdays are very important to us all here at Countrylife Early Education 🥳

So to ensure your child feels special on their birthday, our amazing centre chef👩‍🍳 June will bake an age appropriate number cake 🎂 for each child. Children will each be given the choice of cake flavour and colour icing for their special cake on their special day 🥰

Along with the cake, we will also hold a special mat time, where we sing them 🎶 Happy Birthday 🥳

Throughout the year at CountryLife Early Education, we celebrate special cultural and calendar events through dress-ups, sharing our knowledge and expertise, bringing in items from home, themed activities, and visits from outside experts.

Recently, we celebrated World Book Day 📚
It was a fun-filled day of sharing our favourite pukapuka from home and dressing up as characters from our favourite pukapuka. We loved seeing tamariki express their creativity and passion for stories ✨
