HAPPY TONGAN LANGUAGE WEEK!! 🇹🇴
This year’s theme for Uike Kātoanga’i ‘o e lea faka-Tonga - Tonga Language Week - is Ke Tu'uloa 'a e lea faka-Tönga′ 'i Aotearoa, which means Sustaining the Tonga Language in Aotearoa.
Ke Tu'uloa 'a e lea faka-Tonga 'i Aotearoa has a positive and progressive connotation. To support the overarching Language Weeks theme of Sustainability, the word TU'ULOA in the theme this year means to continuously grow, nurture, and sustain a valued idea, practice, event, or memory in an enduring way.

This week nearly 140 rangatahi from around
Aotearoa particpated in the tenth Youth Parliament. Members of our Youth Services team were very blessed to be able to attend and witness their amazing work.
Youth Parliament is a unique opportunity for rangatahi to learn first-hand about our democracy, influence government decision-making, and have their voices heard.
Well done to all the participants! So proud of you all :)

Kia ora everyone!
We hope you're all keeping warm on this beautiful Wellington winter day.
We've been quiet on here due to being busy participating in some awesome mahi like, the LSV - Longest Day.
Nicknamed 'Section 4' by the cool young trainees, a couple of us and our friends from the Newtown, Upper Hutt and Naenae MSD offices were invited to participate in this awesome day. It was so humbling to see the trainees push through all the physical and mental challenges to get the mahi done. We are so proud of them all!
A big mihi to all the staff and trainees for allowing us to be part of The Longest Day. What a awesome experience! We wish you all the best for these final few days in training and graduation this weekend.
Keep an eye out for more updates on what we've been up to :)
