To celebrate the end of the trimester and to farewell some of the students and teachers leaving us we have a wonderful pizza lunch on Friday! This will take place in 20 KP at 1:00pm and is the perfect chance to unwind before exams. Please RSVP by commenting below as soon as possible as we want to make sure everyone has a good amount of pizza!

The Petone Carnival will be taking place this Saturday (August 5) from 12:00pm until 7:30pm! Featuring scrumptious food from food trucks such as the House of Dumplings and the Hot Waffle, cute animals at the petting zoo and to finish everything off marshmallow roasting on the beach and amazing fireworks! The event is for free but I recommend you bring money so you can try some fabulous food on offer!

There is the perfect chance to get to know the teachers in the Foundation Studies programme better with our free Kiwi snacks event happening on Friday! You will get to taste wonderful snacks and fruit which are popular in New Zealand and a perfect free light lunch. To join this event please RSVP by commenting below!

Foundation Students have got the chance to play sport for FREE at Kelburn campus next Friday! We have booked out the main gym from 1:00pm until 2:00pm for you to play with your friends! Former Foundation Students and volunteers are also welcome to come. Please RSVP here.

The Victoria University Rec Centre has free basketball on today at 2:00pm until 3:00pm! It is a wonderful chance to enjoy a friendly game of sport and make some Kiwi friends also. Please let me know if you would like to go as a group!

Hi Foundation Students! Economics students have their trip to the Reserve Bank today. Please meet us outside the hub next to Vic Books at 12:45pm. We will be catching the Mt Victoria 20 bus to the reserve bank from the Kelburn parade stop at 12:55pm which should arrive there at 1pm. Welcome to our new intake of students starting with us this week! We are looking forward to sharing many great experiences with you.

Our Student Leaders are here to help you settle into life at Foundation Studies and can offer you advice about different subjects, provide information on our social activities and general advice about living in Wellington. Our returning Student Leaders are Sylvia, James, Mobarak and Chen! We will also be recruiting some more Student Leaders from our new intake.

Tomorrow (Friday) is Rinnie's last day at Foundation Studies. A big thank you to all of you who've made this job fantastic. Rinnie will be moving to Student Learning in mid February, so this is not a goodbye. Have a beautiful holiday and merry Christmas :)

for those who haven't heard yet - Foundation Studies has moved to Kelburn Campus! We are now well into our third week of teaching here and both staff and students are loving it.
