Well worth the read!

His Swiss Cheese Model taught us that errors are human – but systems can be designed to stop small mistakes from becoming major accidents.

Kai, Steve and Rodney had a great time at the Flying New Zealand AGM and Conference in Christchurch last weekend. It is a lot of work putting on an event like this, but they did a great job. We picked up a lot of good resources we can use at the club also.

Hi! I’m Kasey, after two years of being the club captain, I’m happy to say that I passed my PPL last week. 15 years ago, my careers advisor discouraged me from pursuing aviation due to my disinterest and average maths and science grades at school. Professionally, i went down a very different path but cut to 2018, I joined the Wellington Aero Club and I’ve been flying off and on ever since. In 2023, I waddled up to receive my female pilot of the year award a few weeks before giving birth. Despite these challenges and life paths, achieving my ppl was proof to myself that I can do anything with enough passion and perseverance.
