We will remember them. Thank you to the students who represented St Teresa's School Karori at the local Karori ANZAC remembrance service, and to the parents and staff who supported and prepared them for the day. Their participation reflected the values of our school. Showing respect, courage, service and remembrance as we honoured those who served and sacrificed for our country.

We began the week by celebrating St Patrick’s Day with our annual concert, where our students proudly showcased their Irish spirit through music, dance, and performance 🇮🇪✨ It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm, confidence, and talent on display.
Later in the week, we headed to Karori Park for our Cross Country races. The determination, resilience, and sportsmanship shown by all our students was truly impressive — whether they were aiming for a personal best or cheering on their classmates 🏃♀️🏃♂️
A big thank you to our dedicated staff and our supportive parents who came along to encourage and help out. It’s this strong sense of community that makes St Teresa’s such a special place

That’s another year done!
What a wonderful year it has been, and what a fantastic group of Year 8 students we now farewell. We wish you all the very best as you head off to college — take our school values with you, stay true to yourself, and continue to be the wonderful young people you are.
Thank you to everyone for your support throughout the year. What a special community we have. We finished the year with a beautiful celebration: our juniors retelling the Christmas story, the school choir performing, and the celebration of our successes through the Lion Art poster and a range of sporting and academic awards.
Well done to everyone — it has truly been a year to be proud of.

A fun morning with the Mayor today as we officially opened the famous swings! 🎉
This idea began with our learners, was driven forward by our amazing community, and made possible thanks to the generous support of NZCT and the Karori Lions. ❤️
Thank you to everyone who came along — it was a fantastic morning to come together, celebrate, and enjoy pickles, waffles, and a warm milo.
What a wonderful way to finish the year!

The new Junior Block is progressing and will be ready for our 2026 start. This purpose-built space has been thoughtfully designed for our youngest learners, featuring a spacious deck with a sunshade, beautiful natural light, and a junior playground right beside it.
We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated building team, who are creating a high-quality learning environment where our tamariki can thrive from their very first day at school.
With modern facilities, strong teaching teams, and a warm, welcoming community, St Teresa’s is a wonderful place to begin your child’s learning journey.
If you are considering enrolment for 2026, get in touch — we would love to welcome you to the St Teresa’s whānau. - https://www.stteresas.ac.nz/new-page

A great week for St Teresa’s, with our students stepping up, giving their best, and proudly living out our school values.
We began with the Karori Kōrero Speech Competition, where five of our students represented St Teresa’s with confidence and pride. A huge well done to each of them — we are incredibly proud. Thank you also to Marsden Books for their generous support.
Mid-week brought fantastic success at Athletics at Newtown Park, where our students competed with determination and enthusiasm. There were strong results across the board and plenty of smiles throughout the day.
To finish the week, our new leaders for 2026 visited the Soup Kitchen and Crèche — a wonderful beginning to their leadership journey and a meaningful way to serve our wider community.
Being a small school means our students enjoy all the same opportunities as larger schools — and often even more chances to shine. At St Teresa’s, every child is seen, supported, and given the chance to thrive.
What a week!

It was a wonderful evening celebrating Maria Nunns, who was honoured with a Special Recognition Award from Rotary Karori and the Karori Business Association for her outstanding service and long-term commitment to both school and community netball.
We’re absolutely delighted for you, Maria — a truly well-deserved acknowledgement of your passion and dedication to the game. 🏐
Netball was the winner on the night!

Last term, our topic focus was Social Justice. As part of this learning, two boys decided to collect food for the Compassion Soup Kitchen Te Kīhini Hupa o Pūaroha.
They researched more about the Soup Kitchen, then organised a non-uniform day with posters to raise awareness of what was needed.
On the day they delivered the food collected, which was well received.
Thank you to our school community for being so generous.

Today we were very fortunate to have our learners take the lead and share the Onam Festival with us. They explained what Onam means and how it is celebrated, before guiding us through games and cultural activities.
Children chose different activities tto be a part of - the henna patterns were a highlight for many, and the tug of war brought so much energy and fun!
A big thank you to our wonderful students who confidently shared something so special to them, and gave us all the opportunity to celebrate together
