You graduate college with $35,000 in debt, and everyone applauds your achievement.
You spend between $5,000 and $50,000 on your one-day wedding, and everyone celebrates with you.
You borrow more than $500,000 from the bank to buy your first house, and people congratulate you.
You take out a loan of more than $30,000 for a car, a depreciating asset, with interest, and people are cheering for you again.
That's over $600,000 in debt you've accrued over the years, and yet it's all greeted with applause and congratulations.
Now tell those same people you invested a small amount of money to start your own business or make some other investment…
Are you sure? What if it fails? Can you get a refund? What if people make fun of you? I know a place they're hiring...
It becomes difficult to get support. Some of these people won't even share or like your posts.
They won't help promote your business. Instead, they mention every possible negative outcome, like a bucket of crabs without a lid...the moment one crab tries to escape, the others pull him back down...
For the rest of this year, be mindful of who you surround yourself with and who encourages you and cheers for you.
A big shout-out to all the brave entrepreneurs who took the leap and said YES! This is your year!
