𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝑯𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓'𝒔 𝑹𝒆𝒑

Applications are open for the role of Rider’s Representative on the ESNZ Show Hunter Executive. All applicants must be 18 or over and are required to submit a CV to [email protected] by 5pm Wednesday 12 August 2026.

This is a two-year term beginning after September 1 2026, ending at the AGM in 2028.

Purpose of Rider’s Representative:
• To achieve and contribute to the strategic aims of the Show Hunter Executive.
• Plan and run rider meetings to discuss ideas within the discipline.
• To ensure that Show Hunter members have an avenue to raise any issues or suggestions they may have in the running of the discipline
• Be an approachable contact at events for members to provide feedback.
• Provide a written report to each Executive meeting and at the AGM.

Voting process for election of the Rider’s Representative
• Voting will be held online, and open to registered introductory or full members competing in Show Hunter competitions this season.
• Applicants will have the opportunity to address members in a zoom meeting prior to voting.
• All results will be checked and will be published on the ESNZ website.

Important Notice for Show Hunter Riders 📣

The Show Hunter Executive has approved a new qualification requirement for riders wishing to compete in the National Series classes at the Show Hunter Series Final Show this season.

The Series Final Show Committee may implement a condition requiring riders to have accumulated a minimum of 20 qualifying points before being eligible to compete in National Series classes at the Final Show.

Qualifying points will be earned from recognised classes in the same manner as they were previously accumulated for Horse of the Year (HOY) qualification. All existing rules relating to the earning and allocation of qualification points will continue to apply.

To assist riders with planning their season, qualifying classes will be clearly identified in show schedules.

A list of qualified horses will be published on the Jumping and Show Hunter webpage and updated regularly throughout the season.

𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝑯𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒔

Two dates available:
- Tuesday 8th September at 7.30pm or
- Wednesday 16th September at 7.30pm.
Course length: One hour.
The zoom link will be sent to registered attendees the week prior to the session.

SH Course designers are encouraged to attend as the the changes that the Technical Committee has made to the tests for equitation, especially rollback turns and keyhole turns, will be discussed.

There are seven applicants that have applied for the three vacant positions on the jumping board. This will be voted on at the AGM through your Area Delegate.

The Jumping Board has decided to open voting for the End of Season Awards to 𝗔͟𝗟͟𝗟͟ ESNZ shows listed on our dates card for this past year.

This includes the following categories:
• Show of the Year
• Official of the Year
• Volunteer of the Year
• Rider Contributor of the Year

As the By-Laws will be reviewed prior to next season — including the voting structure within the Jumping discipline — this change applies for this year only.

Please note that voting will still close on 12 June.
