We have noticed many moments of growth and learning that unfold in everyday moments Tamariki growth in confidence, connection, wellbeing and agency.
We have noticed Tamariki progress with staying engaged in a task for longer periods of time, showing more focus, patience, and determination during their play Tamariki are growing in confidence and showing us that they can challenge themselves and keep going even when things get tricky.

Group Learning!

During Samoan Language Week, Jamal proudly shared his Samoan culture with his kindergarten community. Taking on a leadership role during morning mat time, he confidently showed a video of his performance at Upper Hutt School alongside his whānau and Ari’s family. He also shared his beautiful siva (dance) and pese (song), giving tamariki and kaiako a meaningful opportunity to learn about and celebrate Samoan language, culture, and traditions.

Jamal’s willingness to share his experiences helped foster a sense of belonging, cultural pride, and appreciation for diversity within the kindergarten. It was a special moment that highlighted the importance of celebrating the rich cultures that make up our learning community and demonstrated the confidence and pride Jamal has in his Samoan heritage.

This morning, we had a special visit from the Trentham Fire Brigade. Our tamariki were excited to welcome the firefighters to kindergarten and take part in a fun and meaningful learning experience.
