3d printing of a mug on our WASP Clay Printer! The spiral effect on the top half is actually an artefact of the printing process. As the nozzle moves around the outside of the mug, it pulls the clay with it, creating a spiral illusion.

We are hosting a Play Day for Students at Toi Rauwhārangi!
This is a soft materials exploration which will be held in the Pink Room if Fab Lab, starting at 10 am. We will be playing with sewing, knitting, embroidery, biomaterials, LED soft circuits, fiber optics, and other soft electronics! Just show up and have fun :)
We will be running a Welcome Tour at the start for non-inducted students, so make sure you're here on time if you need a Welcome Tour!

Amazing results w/our Orange Bioplastic. Warped out of the oven but after a good heat pressing, turned out flat nicely. We could not help but start experimenting with it. It got laser cut, torched and 'drowned'. Keep an 👁 in our platform 4 future tests and product design. What would you do with it?

Having a lot of fun in our hands-on Workshop Intro to Bioplastics with and . We made an orange bioplastic & a wood bioplastic, both drying out now. We cannot wait to see the end result! Make sure that u follow us to see them in a couple of days!
