Kia orana! For Cook Island language week we learnt some basic commands, looked at the connection between te reo and Cook Island, watched some Cook Island dancing and learnt some arts and craft. The lovely Jane made the whole of the Kōwhai syndicate chop suey and mainese to try. Jane also taught Pūkeko class how to make ei Katu and she bought in some artifacts for us all to learn more about daily life and culture. Mica and Georgia helped the Rimu tamaiti make some beautiful tivaevae crafts. What wonderful experiences we’ve been involved in this week.

Our MNS Poly group was so lucky to have the Scots College Poly group come and perform to us in preparation for their upcoming Te Kiwa Nui performance. There were a couple of ex students in the group too, which was awesome to see 😊⭐️
Thank you to Andrea for organising this for us.

This week we celebrated Pride in Schools Week. Classes did compliment circles, created art showing how we are unique, how we all are good at different things, and what makes us special.
