The Wellington School of Business and Government is proud to invite you to the inaugural lecture of Professor Jessica Lai, Professor of Commercial Law at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.

Event, Thursday 6th March—Commerce and Law Careers Expo

Photos from Wellington School of Business and Government's post 24/02/2025

Welcome to Pipitea Campus! 🎉

The Faculty of Law, Victoria University of Wellington and the Wellington School of Business and Government were thrilled to welcome new and returning students to campus. They say you can't beat Wellington on a sunny day, and the weather certainly delivered! 🌞

Pipitea Campus was alive with energy—the hum of excited students, the chimes of Mr. Whippy, the whirl of the candy floss machine, and the sizzle of the BBQ.

It was fantastic to see our academic and professional staff out meeting and greeting students, with Deans Jane Bryson and Geoff McLay leading the charge on the grill, serving up delicious sausage sandwiches to a hungry crowd. 🌭

🏏 Lawn games, beanbags, and a sense of community made for the perfect start to the academic year. Students were also encouraged to write a letter to their future self, all part of our 'Graduation Time Capsule' project, and our student representative groups were on hand to answer any questions.

We’re looking forward to doing it all again next year!

WSBG Dean's Series | Ōrauariki / Wellington School of Business and Government | Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington 15/12/2024

WSBG presents an annual Dean's Series of panel discussions, with guests and topics hand-selected by the Dean, who also chairs the individual sessions.

The theme for this year’s Dean’s Series was around the question of fairness, asking specifically what that looks like in individual sessions relating to Health, Wealth, and Wisdom—what would a fairer New Zealand look like in allowing everyone the chance to be healthy, wealthy, and wise?

In selecting the panel members for each discussion, and chairing the conversation, Professor Jane Bryson (Dean) hoped to facilitate open, honest, and engaging conversations around the topics.

Here is your chance to catch up with these, or to rewatch any of the ones you attended. Implicit in these titles is the idea of healthier futures for all, wealthier futures for all, and of course a wiser future for all.

It was important to have staff from the University, and alumni as part of each panel, but to also step outside of the Academy and engage with subject matter experts from wider in the field across all ages and stages.
