Much of our work has been on heritage and/or culturally significant buildings.
McKee Fehl has been in existence for 35 years and is a leading medium sized construction company located in Wellington City and concentrates on all fields of commercial and civil construction work in the region and surrounding areas. This includes industrial buildings, school buildings, commercial high rises, restorations, re-strengthening, fitouts, bridges, refurbishment work and specialty buildings such as museums and theatres.

In 2010 McKee Fehl completed the structural upgrade of the Eastbourne Fire Station to achieve the seismic capability required for an emergency response building.

This project included the complete strip out of the existing fitout, ceilings and services and conversion into a 220 student facility. This required new mechanical plant, street water connection, main switchboard, services risers and reticulation systems to suit the new requirements.

During a multi-stage redevelopment of Coastlands Shoppingtown, McKee Fehl were engaged to reconstruct a new four theatre state of the art fully digital cinema facility, including a purpose built 3D theatre, within the existing complex
