Our Story

Chilton Preschool Music Centre provides an opportunity for children to develop their confidence and musicality in our specialist music facilities.

Our classes offer an introduction to the world of benefits that music has to offer. It has been proven that musical training has a large impact on the development of the brain especially language, speech, attention, memory and the ability to express emotions verbally in young children. We will develop confidence and creativity in our youngest musicians and performers of the future through participation in dance, movement, singing and instrumental activities.

At Chilton we achieve this by implementing a progressive, fun and creative curriculum that teaches essential skills in a play-based environment. Our experienced teachers work to create opportunities for musicians of all ages to perform, compose and interpret different styles of music with confidence.
By the end of the Chilton Preschool Music programme, our graduates can demonstrate a wide variety of skills and abilities such as: simple music reading skills, strong aural awareness, the ability to play steady beat and rhythms, to recognise and identify a wide variety of instruments and have the confidence to sing and perform in front of their peers.
We hope that many of these children will go on to become successful performers, musicians and composers in the future and offering advice to parents and caregivers on future musical pathways for their children beyond the preschool programme.
