✨ Vaune Mason works across metalwork, carving, fibre and natural materials, creating pieces inspired by Aotearoa’s native wildlife and environment.

✨ Sarah Brock is a multimedia artist working across painting, drawing, lampwork glass, ceramics and jewellery, with more than 20 years of experience sharing her skills with students.

✨ Bill Shortis creates distinctive metal jewellery full of texture, movement and detail, exploring materials including titanium, bronze, copper and silver.

Time flies when you’re making jewellery! We were having so much fun in the studio that I forgot to post our August classes before August actually arrived 🤦‍♀️✨

Tote Modern Gallery at the Ōtaki Potter Club
August 6th - 30th
Opening event 5.30pm 6th August, all welcome.

This exhibition brings together the work of three artists whose practices are deeply intertwined with the natural world. Through varied art forms, they explore the aspects of our world that speak to them. Textures of earth, water and air. Memories of places. The stories we tell ourselves about the world we find ourselves in.

This exhibition will showcase works in a variety of mediums, including lampwork glass, ceramics, textiles, works on paper and jewellery.
