The Institute of Directors is thrilled to welcome AgResearch to the Future Directors programme. The leading Crown Research Institute supports the primary sector and the Government’s science and innovation priority areas, enhancing the value, productivity and profitability of New Zealand’s pastoral, agri-food, and agri-technology sectors through effective science.

In joining the programme, they are now seeking a Future Director to join their board for an 18-month term. Applications close 25 March, so don’t delay in submitting your application.

Congratulations Amelia Vinnell who has been appointed as a Future Director to the board of NZ Institute of Economic Research (NZIER).

Amelia is a New Zealand diplomat, advocating New Zealand’s interests in China across the food and fibre sector. She has extensive experience in policy work, including teaching public policy and Māori resource management at Victoria University. She also developed, delivered and advised the Director-General, Ministry for Primary Industries on 'Fit for a Better World' - New Zealand’s strategy for the food and fibre sector to become more productive, sustainable and inclusive.

The IoD’s Nominations Committee is appointed by the IoD’s National Council to identify, interview and recommend potential candidates for appointment to the board and coordinates board evaluation and succession planning.
