At Discovery Nursery & Cottage, we take pride in being a multi cultural centre. In the cottage, we can have 12 children from age 0-2 years old.

We value the unique contribution that each child, teacher and whānau bring into our learning environment. In the nursery, we can have 32 children from age 1.5-5 years old.

Our tamariki used cups, craft sticks, and small animal figures to design and build their own bridges. They carefully balanced the sticks across the cups, testing different ways to connect the structures and create pathways for the animals to travel across.

Through this hands-on experience, children explored early engineering and mathematical concepts such as balance, stability, spatial awareness, and problem-solving.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mums!

This week, our tamariki celebrated Mother’s Day by creating beautiful handmade cards filled with love, creativity, and imagination. The children carefully decorated their cards with flowers, lovely patterns, and plenty of special drawings for their mums.

Through this meaningful experience, the children expressed their love and appreciation while developing their creativity, fine motor skills, and communication skills.
