Late August and early September were full of celebration and inspiration at Karunai Illam! 🌿
Vinayagar Chaturthi: Students made their own Vinayagar idol and learned about ecology and nature.�Committee Meeting: Plans made for rainy-season safety and new learning initiatives.�Visit from Mr. Shankar: Our KIT Chair inspired students to excel in their studies.�Teachers’ Day: A joyful student-led celebration full of gratitude and ideas for the future.
So much heart, creativity, and community spirit in just a few weeks!

What a special few weeks we’ve had!
Sister Tessa stayed with our children for 20 days, joining them on amazing learning adventures — from the Meenakshi Temple to Edaikattur Village and a magical Full Moon Walk at Thiruparankundram.
🏥 The children also took part in a Health Insurance Camp, enrolling in the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme — an important step in keeping everyone safe and healthy.
A season full of exploration, wellbeing, and joy! 🌿

It was such a joy to gather for afternoon tea with our Trustees, volunteers, and long-term supporters on Saturday at the Study Group rooms in Wellington! �We shared updates on the children’s progress, and enjoyed a fantastic presentation from Victoria University students on their research on partnership good practices and fund raising strategies including marketing to younger cohorts.
Thank you to everyone who came — your warmth and commitment keep the spirit of the Illam strong.
