At Starz on Stage we teach a weekly two-hour workshop for those who want to develop their skills in singing, drama and dance or maybe just build their confidence. This is not your average after school club, what we offer is something new and innovative. Our workshops are made up of back-to-back singing drama and dance classes (with small breaks in between), all over a two-hour time slot at the sam
e venue. Classes are grouped by age (5-7, 8-10, and 11-14) and are kept between 8 to 12 students per class, meaning that with three teachers we are able to provide more one-on-one support and encouragement. At Starz on Stage, students go outside the box and make new friends; not only do we teach the skills to sing, act and dance but we are also here to have FUN. Workshops are held throughout school terms outside of school hours and with a central location on Able Smith Street, we are accessible from all suburbs. As two hours can be a bit much for our wee ones, we are offering our 5-7 year-olds 90-minute workshops instead of two hours; these are our “Rising Starz”. The weekly workshop is made up by 20 minutes of each discipline with a show-and-tell at the beginning, break in the middle and a parachute exercise at the end to discuss what we have learnt that day. At the end of each term, friends and family are invited to watch a small presentation of what the students have been learning. A small awards ceremony will also take place to encourage and praise those who have improved or displayed hard work. At Starz on Stage there are no auditions, everyone is welcome from every level of ability. Gain confidence, learn skills, stretch your imagination and HAVE FUN!
