Brethren

It might look like very little is happening to the wider Craft, but I can assure you that we are active on the ground.

There needs to be a clearer picture about fundraising and where any donations go. The Deputy Grand Master RWBro Graham Wrigley, is attending a meeting tomorrow that will make that clearer.

The Prime Minister has made some commitments as well, so not sure where we will fit in, but we will be looking for practical solutions. We are already receiving offers of financial support from Lodges around the world and throughout New Zealand, so we will need a pathway.

We will be opening up a facility to receive donations, then work out where our assistance might best be needed.

MW Bro David Mace conferred Doctor of Laws

Most Worshipful Bro David Mace was conferred with the degree of Honorary Doctor of Laws at a graduation ceremony at the University of Auckland on Wednesday 21st January.

This prestigious honour was bestowed on Bro Mace both for his work over many years acting for Freemasons New Zealand building the partnership between Freemasons New Zealand and the University and in addition for the contribution he has made to the University personally, working closely with senior staff of the Medical and Health Sciences Faculty.
