At Wainuiomata Playcentre, we love seeing kaitiakitanga in the little moments πΏπ Tiny hands planting π±, caring for bugs and snails ππ, collecting leaves and natural treasures ππͺ΅, and learning that creatures big and small deserve kindness π¦π. Through mΔra and nature play, our tamariki are growing care, respect and connection with PapatΕ«Δnuku πβ¨. These little moments help our tamariki grow into caring kaitiaki of our world π±πππ

NgΔ mihi tino nui to Crafting Threads of Aroha for their wonderful koha of beautiful fabrics and materials for our crafts and sensory play. π§΅π
Our calm space now has a variety of lovely textures for soothing, quiet moments, giving our tamariki a gentle place to explore, rest, and regulate. πΏβ¨
We have also created an invitation for expressive art using all the colourful bits and bobs, ready for little hands and big imaginations to turn into something magical. π¨βοΈ
