At Wainuiomata Playcentre, we love seeing kaitiakitanga in the little moments 🌿💚 Tiny hands planting 🌱, caring for bugs and snails 🐌🐞, collecting leaves and natural treasures 🍂🪵, and learning that creatures big and small deserve kindness 🐦🐛. Through māra and nature play, our tamariki are growing care, respect and connection with Papatūānuku 🌏✨. These little moments help our tamariki grow into caring kaitiaki of our world 🌱🐌🍂💚

Our calm space now has a variety of lovely textures for soothing, quiet moments, giving our tamariki a gentle place to explore, rest, and regulate. 🌿✨

We have also created an invitation for expressive art using all the colourful bits and bobs, ready for little hands and big imaginations to turn into something magical. 🎨✂️
