Preparation for the big concert to end term 3, at Raroa Music Centre, which went really well.

The HVO is starting the new(ish) year with a concert of works, some of which (Ravel) look back in time, and some of which (Dvorak) optimistically look to the future in a new(ish) world. And on top of that we have a gifted young violinist - Natalija Sekicki - playing de Beriot's Scenes de Ballet. Oh, and we're also looking to the present with a piece (Kāpiti) by Kenneth Young, written only last year.

Donald Armstrong will be conducting the HVO for this concert, at 3pm on Sunday May 4th, at St James, Lower Hutt. It will be good to see you all there!
