“Taking this course was one of the best things I've done. The content was really well structured, but what truly made the experience stand out was Kerry herself. Kerry has a friendly and down to earth personality making her a great teacher. She shared her experiences and knowledge with us throughout - both in regard to grooming and the business of grooming. She was patient and incredibly supportive, and with small numbers we got lots of one-on-one attention, tips and help. During the course Kerry arranged a wide variety of dog breeds, coat types, personalities and grooming requirements for us to practice on, and being based in her busy salon gave us a feeling for what it's like to work in the industry. I've walked away with knowledge of how to run a grooming business, advice about tools and most importantly, the skills I'll need to start out. Day 1 of our practical work (day 3 of the course) and Toni and Julia did great giving Trevor and Henry a bath and brush followed by a full deshed groom of Nala (Retriever) and Elvis (Shepard). Needless to say there was hair EVERYWHERE😂 A goods intro I to grooming that’s for sure.
