YEAR 7/8 GIRLS QUAD FIXTURE 🏑⚽🏐

Our Year 7/8 girls had a fantastic day yesterday at their Quad Fixture, taking on Samuel Marsden Collegiate School and Selwyn House School in hockey, football, and netball!

Across all three codes, the girls played with great teamwork and energy, with some excellent matches and plenty of friendships formed along the way.

A real highlight has been hosting Selwyn House School students for the past two nights. The girls have had a wonderful time together both on and off the field.

A special thank you to our senior students who stepped in to umpire. Their support helped make the day such a success. Well done to all involved!

As the third most spoken language in Aotearoa New Zealand, Gagana Samoa holds a special place in our community. Last week, our students and staff came together to celebrate Samoa Language Week, taking part in activities that honoured the language and culture of Samoa. It was wonderful to see our community learning and celebrating together!

YEAR 6 SCIENTISTS 🔬
As part of their "Who We Are" Unit of Inquiry, Year 6 students spent time in the science lab this week with Head of Middle Years Programme Science teacher, Dr Manighetti.

They embraced this special opportunity to step into the role of scientists, donning their lab coats and protective glasses while learning more about the cardiovascular system. This hands-on experience was definitely a memorable and engaging opportunity for our learners!

Dear Community,

You will have received the Civil Defence warning this evening regarding evacuation from certain seaside suburbs. This does not affect the College and we will be open as usual tomorrow. Our thoughts are with affected families. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to support you at this time.

Yours sincerely,

Graeme Yule
Headmaster

JUNIOR SCHOOL HOUSE HAKA 🗣️

With powerful voices and fierce expressions, our Junior School students took to the stage today for the annual House Haka competition.

Performing the haka written by Rev Hēmi Pōtatau, each of our four Junior School Houses showcased their energy, pride, and teamwork.

Congratulations to this year’s winners, Bedding House, with Macarthur House named runner-up. 💚❤️

A huge thank you to our judges – with such passion and commitment on display, selecting a winner was no easy task.
