Time flies alright.

Today another milestone.

I'll never forget when the eldest of my tamariki stopped kissing me as they got out of the car for kura.

I used to get 3 kisses as they left.

Then it was 2.

Today was 1 from my youngest whose 9.

They were moments I cant get back. I cant rewind to ask "Can I have one more kiss?"

Enjoy the now. Thats why they call it a 'Present' ❀️‍πŸ”₯

Hmmmm

Sunday was supposed to 24hr Fast day.

Instead I ate all day till 9pm 😳

I was supposed to be low/no carb.

I ate almost 1/2 loaf of bread 🫣

Monday aimed to fast again, 24hrs. Got to 22hours after my rationalle was "Im pretty much there what difference another 2 hours gonna make 😁"

Some days can feel like I've gone backwards all the way to the start πŸ€”

Didn't do much different this week.

Actually had 3 days of no exercise.

Fasting went 80% well.

Maybe this is that 'Delayed' part of the results?

I was hoping to see this number last week?

If I had given up, I may not have seen it this week drop from 98-96kg??

Like the seed beneath the surface, keep watering it. You dint k ow when it may sprout?

The Journey.

This image has stuck with me for over 20years.

I feel like I am at the BRIDGE stage.

Started with good progress, making a few poor decisions last couple of days this week and last week πŸ™„

I've been here before.

The thoughts in my head are:

"Why bother with all this stuff, just stay how you've always been?"

"Why can't you push through and finish something for once!"

I keep telling myself to 'Turn Up again tomorrow. Just TURN UP again!'

But I feel sooner rather than later I'll need to come from this challenge / opportunity at a different angle ❀️‍πŸ”₯

Week #5 and I was a little dissapointed at not.
making 97kg range.

I had 3 days last week during Bball tournament where I ate my emotions - Think it was all the close games! (Something to work on there 😬)

I still manage to exercise all 3 of those days.

Fasting feels like its helping and dissassociating from comfort eating to eating when Im actually hungry.

Also I feel less bloated.

Im still focusing on gratitude and calming the nervous system so that my body can process my kai etc

Let's see how the next 4 weeks go!

Hmmm Last 3-4 Days have been flat tac busy.

6-8 Games of Basketball to get to coach or watch.

Kai cooking and prepping for being out all day.

Crashing in bed about 10pm or 11pm.

It was a challenge to continue the 3 main actions I wanted to focus on:

1. Fasting 16 hour window, 8 hour eating windows.
I find when Im excited, watching and coaching i just want to eat! So fasting went out the door last few days 😬

2. Gratitude Process.
Just found myself getting up and straight into the busy day, grabbing kai, packing the bags ans off ❀️

Couple of positives - Exercised 3 out of the 4 days πŸ”₯

Watching your own tamariki give it their all in something is SO inspiring.

Win lose or draw it doesn't matter.

What matters is how hard they tried.

So proud of my 3 Tamariki all participating in the Poitūkohu Māori Basketball Tournament in Rotorua.

Each of them playing their hearts out and learning to manage the ups and downs in sport which will help them manage the ups and downs of life too ❀️

Big Ups to everyone who makes sports possible.

I joined the CPAP Club about June 2025.

I was tired most days and was always looking for time to have a nap in the afternoons.

Even if I got 7/8 Hours sleep I would still feel exhausted.

I thought it was an age thing, and the kids being busy, always thinking and having something on the go.............

To stay awake ir.feel energized I would go for the sugar things in the afternoon: Lollies, Chocolates, Ice Cream etc

This didn't help my physical wellbeing.

First month of wearing the CPAP was a Life Changer 😳

Who knew you weren't supposed to be tired during the day?

Now that I know how Important sleepis to calm the nervous system, reduce insulin and cortisol which causes the body to store fat Im diving in on everything to help me get that Deep Sleep.

This is just one of the tools πŸ”₯

Dam.

Forgot I was fasting from 6pm 🫣

And I wasnt gonna eat carbs or fried foods for 30days.

Walked into house and their was a bucket of KFC.

My hand automatically reached in and before I realised it was in my mouth 😬

I thought, oh dam! I've had one, may as well have another 😬

4 pieces later and 3 x pizza pieces πŸ™„

Turning up is not 100% perfect every day?

Back at it tomorrow with the once a week 24hr Fast. 7pm dinner time!
