Robot Cup National part 2 - Onstage

We had 3 teams (Crabby Crabs, Demon Girls and Rubber Ducks) competed at national in the novice division for the first time.

Stubborn robots, tears and determination, courage and resilence were all in evidence.

Congratulations to Crabby Crabs for getting 3= in the Primary division. You both showed some much grit to make it work and put in a good performance when things got tough (like the robot failing in the 1st and 2nd round)

Big kudos to the Rubber Ducks who didn't didn't place but won the crowd hearts with their flawless performances with the Cello and little Jim Bob the robot.

Thanks to the parents for all their help. And big thanks to the organisers Ministry of Inspiration, their sponsors and host school for giving us an amazing day.

RoboCup nationals - Rescue line in Rotorua over the weekend.

A day full of emotions. The students saw it all . Lots of tension, challenges, rebuilding, and fun.

We had 2 rescue teams - Skull Boy and COG. 5 rounds of challenges and testing.

Congrats to COG - 2nd Place - Riley Rover divison!

Matamoe is taking 5 teams to RoboCup nationals in Rotorua this weekend.

We are writing checklists of equipment and parts . The students are practicing and making last minute refinements.
