πŸ‡ Who is behind the Hip Mobility Workshop? πŸ‡

Alistair Shaw - Qualified Fitness Coach

With rider fitness and corrective strength training being an important part of any equestrian’s journey, we are excited to be able to offer our riders that extra support when it comes to any issues they might be facing in the saddle.

Rider fitness has often been overlooked in the past, however there has been a shift within the equestrian community, emphasising the importance of rider fitness.

Being fit to ride, no matter what level you are at will mean you find it easier to keep a correct position, move in balance with your horse and communicate clearly.

Alistair has coached at Functional Fit Gym and more recently has been coaching riders at CEC, he comes from a background in CrossFit and is specifically passionate about biomechanics and functional movement patterns.

πŸ‡ Second date for the Hip Mobility workshop πŸ‡

Saturday 27th June, 11am - 12pm

Ever feel stiff through your hips when you ride? Struggle to sit deeply in the saddle? Feel like one side works differently to the other?

Join us for a practical, rider-focused workshop designed to help you move better, feel more balanced, and get more from your riding.

During this 1-hour workshop, we’ll look at common mobility and stability limitations that affect riders, before working through a series of simple exercises designed to improve hip mobility, glute activation, balance and pelvic control.

You’ll learn:
βœ… What may be limiting your position and seat
βœ… How hip mobility affects your riding
βœ… Simple exercises to improve mobility and stability
βœ… How to warm up effectively before riding
βœ… Which areas YOU personally need to work on

Most importantly, you’ll leave with:
βœ” A personalised pre-ride warm-up routine
βœ” A better understanding of your body’s strengths and weaknesses
βœ” Practical exercises you can continue working on at home
