Last Wednesday, we sent three Year 9 teams and one Year 10 team to test their problem-solving skills at the annual Matharapa competition. And they brought home some extraordinary results, including FIRST PLACE in the Year 9 division!

A massive shoutout to our top-placing teams:

4th Place: Kaylee Huck, Rebecka Barnes, and Ryan Chen

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve been selected for the Solar on Schools Programme, a joint initiative with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA)!

Nationwide, this 3-year programme is delivering:

Rooftop Solar for up to 500 schools.
Energy Management Systems for up to 150 schools.
Battery Storage for select schools to boost savings and resilience.

What this means for us:

💸 Lower Energy Bills: More budget saved for our students and classrooms.

🔋 Energy Resilience: Greater independence through our own renewable power.

🌿 A Greener Future: Directly reducing our carbon footprint.

🌼 We're excited to be supporting Wairarapa Daffodil Day this year, with all proceeds from our fundraiser going towards the Wairarapa Cancer Society.
Bouquets of daffodils will be available for $10 each, and purchase will be available with cash only. Stalls will be open Friday lunchtime outside of the canteen for purchase. Any parents who would like to contribute to this fundraiser, a Google form has been sent out to you where you can place an order (with multiple options for payment & delivery), we would love your support 💛.
Bouquets will be handed out on Tuesday the 18th of August. See you there! 🌼💛
