I am writing to inform you that if the Kilbirnie Kip McGrath franchise has not been previously sold, it will close at the end of the 2026 school year.

My journey in education began with my first teaching position in 1974, which was 52 years ago. I am now 74 and want to put away my pens and pencils and begin to enjoy retirement.

After retiring from a school Principals position, I still had a passion for education, so in 2015 I purchased the Papakura Kip McGrath franchise in Auckland.
However, after a brief period in Auckland I moved to Wellington and purchased the Kilbirnie Kip McGrath franchise.

During my 10 years with this centre, I have certainly experienced highs and lows.
Initially, with franchise fees at 10%, I was making a good income and was able to further my travel to various parts of the world.
However, the Covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on my business, causing a loss of students to the free online school programmes and financial strain due to rent and franchise fees.

With an unsteady economic situation, and schools now offering after school support, along with the increased franchise fee of 20%, it is more difficult to make a substantial profit. However, this Centre has the potential to be very successful, it just needs an injection from someone with enthusiasm and energy.

I would appreciate it if you could provide my franchise with a marketing boost, spread the word, so that by December, I will not need to close the business.
